Home Wearables for Autonomic Monitoring

Over the past few years we’ve been working (along with others) on developing low-cost remote wearables for recording the home environments of infants and parents, while recording their fluctuating levels of physiological stress at the same time. See here, here and here for some publications.

The sensors are designed to be built into clothing that infants and parents can comfortably wear while out and about, sleep in, etc – see photos below. They record ECG, movement levels, skin temperature, parent-child proximity, with a microphone built into the lapel.

I’m happy to answer any questions about this – just get in touch via the contact page!
